Well, I use a program that allows me to run the movies and music (among other things) from the hard drive, rather than constantly using the CD, by simply copying the MIX files from the CDs to the RA2 folder.

Anywho, I first installed RA2, copied the MIX files and then installed the 1.006 patch. I tried it step by step and this is where the problem occured.

If I install it, apply the patch, and copy the MIX files last, it works fine.

It's really kind of strange. You would know how it works better than me, so you can probably figure it out. And, if you're wondering, the program that I use to run the MIX files from my HD instead of the CDs alters the EXE files only.

Also, it doesn't matter what order I do this for Yuri's Revenge- I was able to extract whatever from localmd.mix just fine.
