> Yes, It does, I've downloaded a 'star-wars music pack' for the game, I'll have a deeper look into their mix file, in the description they've also deleted the music then inserted... 
As I thought, they had done the same thing as I did.
But as an extra they changed the labels in the game through the CONQUER.ENG file, add a song is prolly impossible without hacking into the exe =(
