well maybe you can help me anyways,

when i read a TD shp file byte by byte, in the documentation it says that in the offset array it will give you the offset and format of the image.

Offsets : array [0..NumImages+1] of
record
Offset : longint; {Offset and format of image in file}
RefOffs : longint; {Offset and format of which it is based}
end;

when i read the file, i dont get any of the formats(80h, 40h, 20h). i assume that the offset in the file would be the byte in the file that the image starts at?, and the format to be 80h, 40h, 20h. and then the next longint im not to sure about the RefOffset but the format would be 80h, 40h, 20h. although i am reading all the bytes and putting them in an unsigned char byte array, would that be the problem? do i need to put the longing bytes in a long int byte array to read them correctly? or am i going the wrong way with this?
