It also happens here, Olaf. I have a XCC Mixer 1.44 installed and running fine.
Recently I've download the XCC Utilities package, because I was (fooled, maybe) by someone's post on TiberiumSun.com forums that you released a XCC Mixer 1.45, but I haven't seen it here. Maybe the XCC Utilities package would include it. So, I've downloaded that and installed with the old XCC Mixer installed. I've got the message that people reported above.
Then, I've renamed all old XCC files (into unknown extensions) and placed my new XCC Utilities files in the directory of the old XCC Mixer. The same message appeared.
Then, I've deleted the new XCC Utilities package and kept my old one
