Yep I did, nothing happening still.
The problem has been solved though, jumping through a lot of hoops, XCC Mixer is capable of writing AUD files from WAV files, if they are in a MIX file. Although that works, it's not handy, and the Winamp plugin 'should' just work, very odd.
