analyse voxel models that use RA2 normals. Then decide which normals to use in which direction, and then write your own INI file of RA2 normals.

If you are using this with my tool, and the RA2 model is called 'STARW.VXL' then the commands would be:

1) go to a dos prompt. CD into the directory where you installed the tool

2) type "normaliser1 analyse STARW.VXL starw.txt

3) open the 'startw.txt' file in any text editor, and examine the uses.

4) If necessary, repeat steps 2 and 3 with other RA2 voxels to get a more general view.

5) copy the 'flyby.ts.normals' file to 'myname.ra2.normals', where myname is whatever your name is.

6) edit this new file, change the author to your name

7) change the 'scheme' value from 'TIBERIAN_SUN' to 'RED_ALERT_2'

8) modify all your facings to be the RA2 values you want.

9) save your new file. Then you can use this INI to apply RA2-normals to models!

10) if your model was called SDL3.VXL, then the command would be:

11) normaliser1 apply SDL3.VXL myname.ra2.normals SDL3b.VXL

Hope this is not tooo difficult to follow!
