How about putting an option in the pallete selector dialog box that allows you to open a pallete from an external mix file or a folder so that you could for instance load a pallete from a CD that wouldn't normally be read. It's really annoying having to make a new mix file with the palletes in just so they'll appear in XCC Mixer.
