> well I agree with the console smashing, but I doubt the game will really have such a major impact on PC gaming. Bad games come out all the time. But really great games also come out, and PC gaming won't die while there's practically a PC in every home.

now is the worst time in PC gaming. there's hardly any new games. the only new games are Wolfenstein and Medal of Honor which are both about nazis and both use the quake3 engine which is outdated. then after that is Condition Zero which appears to be still using the Half Life engine which is even more outdated with it's 8 bit textures and 16 bit dithered rendering. the Xbox has games with bump-mapping now for chrissake.

btw i thought the video of Medal of Honor was crap. i mean there's one part where there's a guy lying prone on his belly and then he gets shot and killed and it plays a death animation that is meant for characters standing up. so he suddenly is up from the floor falling down towards it again. then there's parts where they rush in a building and bullets hit the walls and dust flies off, so i thought cool, then they shoot the bad guys and the same dust flies out of them, not cool; that's just plain idiotic: people are not made of stone. i wouldn't expect smart things from this game if i were you.
