When you start Sound Editor, the program extracts audio.bag & audio.idx from the game, to allow you to edit the sounds. If you delete them, it won't matter, as they are still stored in the game mix files. But it also won't matter if you leave them alone.
As for the AV Player, I _think_ you might need to delete 'standard files list.dat', 'global mix cache.dat' and 'global mix database.dat' from the XCC directory
