There is nothing foolish in handing over your serial number if you never play the game online, as you aren't using it.

I see no point in wasting £15 or whatever when I've already bought it once, some game-makers have the sense to either not require a CD for multiplay, or to provide an additional CD with the game which only does multiplay.
That's all I want to be able to do.
