The more I think about it, the more realistic it seems. I will write a simple .EXE patch, which will add a modded expand96.mix to c\:westwood\ra2\ , and I'll post it for download for you to evaluate. Expect within2-3 weeks (i only have access to a computer with RA2 for 2 days a week).

Also, I was thinking about patching RA2.mix instead of creating a new expand96.mix , but i decided that's a bad idea because:

1) I'd have to write a seperate uninstaller patch

2) The patch size generated by the freeware patch writing program I use is >150 MB . Maybe there are patch witers that don't need to make an entirely new ra2.mix , but if there are they aren't freeware (ive searched and tried all the freeware ones I found), we don't want to do anything illegal do we?
