Replaying games... XGS and addon maps. | intagrand | 11:03 21-08-2003 | | |
Hi,
if you want to view terrain for extra maps (outside of multi.mix) such as eb4.map (Country Swing) download XCC Mixer and XCC Mix Editor and extract the .map files from the .mmx mix files and import them into the multi.mix file.
Make sure encription isn't being used and that the Multi.mix is in the /ra2/ directory.
If you are not too keen with XCC Mixer and XCC Mix Editor you can download a self extracting rar file:
http://mysite.freeserve.com/intagrand/ra2/multi.exe
(7.5 MB)
place the multi.mix (from the above archive) in your ra2/ game directory. This Mix file has all the maps that came with Red Alert 2 (excluding the map packs) plus...
Filename: Map Name: Players:
eb1.map City under Siege (2-4)
eb2.map Sinkhole (2-4)
eb3.map Sovereign Land (2)
eb4.map Country Swing (2-4)
eb5.map Mount Olympus (2-4)
amazon.map Stormy Weather (2-4)
invasion.map Invasion Confirmed (2-4)
From the XCC stats it seems these maps are at least being used.
Count Scenario
903 Country Swing <-- Country Swing (yr)
748 eb4.map <-- Country Swing (ra2)
54 eb5.map
51 invasion.map
48 eb1.map
27 eb2.map <-- Sinkhole (ra2)
17 Sinkhole <-- Sinkhole (yr)
16 eb3.map
8 amazon01.map
It'll be nice if the eb1~5 can be recognised by the XCC ladder so the stats can be counted together like Urban Rush on YR is seen as the same as Urban Rush on Ra2.
As Country Swing has been played over 1650 times making it the 2nd most played map after Little Big Lake (3800+) (wow!)
BTW thanks to all that helped make XGS. Might I suggest the addition of code that looks for #mapname#.mix, #mapname#.mmx and #mapname#.map in the /ra2/ game directory after searching multi.mix for the map details.
regards
