I go with what VPR said.
My tutorial which covers Will's first editor is:

This includes how to rescale voxels.
With the normals, make the unit as before and then use Will's latest re-normaliser to apply flyby's normal references (which comes with it). I don't have the URL but look around. I think that Will has recently incorporated it into Vxlse1.6 ?
