that is fundemental. Viewers (like the game itself, XCC Mixer and the HVA Editor) can use the efficient packing of voxels so the voxel in memory isn't so different from the size on disk. The editor needs fast add and removes of voxels in a section so expands the voxel sections into 3D arrays of voxel cells. This takes masses of RAM.
