Then, navigate to your Read Alert Two directory (The default directory is C:\Westwood\RA2\). Double click on RA2.MIX (Or RA2MD.MIX for Vuri's Revenge). You are now inside RA2.MIX/RA2MD.MIX, the main informaton center for the games. Double Click on Local.Mix. Scroll down until you see RULES.INI or RULESMD.INI. This is the one most powerful file in the entire game. Right click on it, and select Extract... Chose the directory where RA2 is installed. Also, you might as well extract Art.ini/artmd.ini as well.

> Now, exit XCC Mixer. Go to Rules.ini/Rulesmd.ini, which will be refered to as Rules from now on. A pop-up box will come up. I call it Mr. Annoying. Just pick yes. The file will open up. This is the rules file. It contains (suprise) all the game rules, from the ammount of damage a Civilian pistol does, to the radius of the nuke, and beyond. Mess around with it. Just don't try to add any units right now, just mess with the current ones. The best was to learn is from self-experimentation. Just don't use execssive numbers. I'll tell you how to make a new unit tommorow.
