I've looked at the official ladder, and always wondered: Where do all the beginners go? Apparently, they give up on RA2. I suggest that to prevent this, include a note in XWIS that new players are advised to read the strategy guide at :

http://www.cncseries.com/navigation/strategy/

It helps alot, I've reffered it to several players and keep attention to there rank afterwards, and find they generally improve.

By decreasing the number of people who give up, perhaps RA2's life might be a little longer...
