I replaced the images (as a hole)and changed the terrain type so the tunnel will work. Then placed it in game and the problem appeared. I used a control tile (one from the game that had not been modified) and renamed it to the file in question and the problem disappeared. Then I replaced image and changed terrain types and tried it again and the problem re-appeared.

This will be tunnel tile #4 in the lists of tunnel tiles
