You can add the rules.ini to the RA2 map, there's no need to extract local.mix and no need to edit local.mix.

Isn't there an updated rules.ini in patch.mix or another MIX (use File - Find)?

HOWEVER after modding those perameters, putting the ini file into local.mix and saving it, local.mix bak into ra2.mix (yes I deleted the other local.mix that remains in the editor and replaced it with my own which contains my color modded rules.ini file ONLY as a change)running the game, and going online, I get the "game versions incompatible" crap when I try to join a game. anyone know a way around this? this modding is supposed to affect ME souly and no one else since it is only graphic editing......
