well if the normals for ra2 format could be unscrambled then i may be able to have bump maps affect them on the voxels although i agree the voxel vehicles would have to be pretty huge for any bump mapping to show up. with this size the bumps in the bump maps would probably just be mip-mapped or LODded away, whatever you want to call it.
however it's not just this i'm thinking of; i'm also thinking of the fact that in order to get people to use my programs i have to convince them that i am not a totally incompetent moron from hell who needs to be beaten to death, and i cannot convince them of that unless i can get the bump-mapping to work properly.
