Mixer resize problemmeselfs01:10 27-12-2003

Hi,

I make SHP's using 3D software, and this incurs a problem: antialiased edges. To put it shorte, the object is blurred onto background color as a result of (desireable) smoothing in the renderer, called antialiasing (AA). Upon pallete conversion I often get odd colors near the edges, and using color filters with a batch converter is unreliable and causes gaps between unit and shadow.

I found a nice technique for solving the edge problem: I render at 3 times desired size with AA completely off, convert to SHP, then use resize on mixer to get to the proper size. This resizing smoothes the image nicely as AA would, except that edges aren't blurred.

Anyway, the problem I have is that shadows are messed up upon resize.
