possibly you didn't have a void in the centre of the model? Without an 'inside', how is it supposed to know what way points outside?

Also, make sure you are using the tool in normaliser1.1.zip, not the previous normaliser1.zip !!

I haven't seen problems on the average vxl files I've got.
