I realize that. After all, as I understand it (correct me if I'm wrong), normals simply tell the game where, when and how to apply light to the object. My problem is not with getting the autonormals to WORK; they WORK just fine. But, the autonormals seem to apply the same normal to several areas (probably because a large portion of it is a flat surface). What I need to do is, apply one normal to, for instance, the left-hand side of a surface, and a different normal to the right-hand side of the same surface. So I try to apply normals by hand in Will's voxel editor, and I can change the spectrum to normals instead of colors just fine. But, for instance, I just tried to do this with Normal number 31. I applied it, but when I switched back to the color spectrum, the surface I had just applied Normal 31 to was now COLOR 31 (the brightest team color, bright red in the editor) as well. So, you see, my problem is that I can't figure out how to change a NORMAL without changing the COLOR as well. I'm probably just doing it wrong, but it's the only way I know how to do it. Any insight as to what I might be doing wrong?
