I meant if he is on an LAN or something. It is useful, but not for most PC's. XWIS for example relies on this useful file...

Yes, some interenet related programs may rely on it, but not usually unless Novell or something like that is active.

XWIS is a cheat free server in developement by Olaf. An XWIS for RA2 was running, but it went down and Olaf is no vacation.

If you feel uncomfortable, sure, move it or rename it. I don't recomend you leave it anywhere in C:\Windows.
