I had a similar problem making a hva and so I sent it to DMZ with the voxel. Turns out that one of the editors (either XCC or one of wills voxel editors since I used them all...not sure which, Olaf, can you confirm its not XCC, it was the last version not the latest)) screws up part of the voxel file when it saves it and so the hva functions don't apply to it properly in the game or in the hva editor.
