One thing I like about WS games is that you can tweak them to your desires. Mark Skaggs (the biggest guy at WS) likes this too, he said that it thrills him that there is a modding communtiy. He also said that to make Generals better than anything yet, he has made a big all-in-one editor called the World Builder. While primarily a map maker, someone (not Skaggs, dont remember who) said that this will edit the rules settings for the game, which total over 5 megs(dont remember exact umber), which are sort of a cross between .ini text and facy-pants code that i dont understand. That is, if i understood correctly, you know how brief they talk, so you should research for yourself. Maybe the World Builder will be incredible and there wont be a need for your program. Or to be optimistic, what if the World Builder leaves something out that you could make an editor for?
In case your wondering, the world builder will be out well before Generals 'To give the modding community a head star',as i read somewhere. Scheduled for free download the end of december, but dont be surprised if they delay that. (they delayed the release date of Generals a few weeks).
Whatever happens, i sure hope wordpad for windows will still be my most powerful mod editor (sorry Koen but i prefer it the manual way)
